Hey everyone this is Greg the singer for Misery, I would like to take some time and tell you about the recordings above. Wow I still can't believe that we have been together for over a decade now! It seems like yesterday when we did our first gig, anyway the very first recording that we did (Misery Loves Company) was done in the late 80's. And it's still one of my favorites! It's very raw and rough around the edges and reflects a cool metal sound of the times. I don't know, it just has the type of song's that have really catchy hooks, and before you know it, your singing along because the song's get stuck in your head! In the early 90's we did (Risk It All) I have to be honest and admit it's not one of my favorites.....however, and I stress this, it happens to be most of our fans favorite & the most requested one that I have sent out to people on the net. I think it was a time when we were going for that BIG illusive record deal, so the thinking was to tone down the metal a little and give it big vocals, lots of keys, and effects. Well it has all that and it really sounds great! Just not the true type of stuff that we are all about . In the mid 90's we did (Out Of My Hands) this one is much more on track to what we like to play! Kind of melodic & a little progressive, with some really crunchy guitars! And finally new Misery is on the way for the new Millennium! It's going to be called (Violent Playground) and I think it sounds great! Look for sounds to be added here soon and the CD to be out sometime around January. Last I would also like to mention IM very proud of the fact that Kevin (the drummer) and I have always mixed, engineered, and produced all of the Misery recordings in the studio. Even though we where fairly young in the 80's and didn't know too much about the recording process, we jumped right in and learned quick about the do's & dont's.....We have recorded many local Houston bands since that time in our home studio and it's been a blast over the last decade! Enough of me, thank you for checking us out! Keep the Metal alive! Greg.
